Above is the front counter for Lizzies Chocolates in Carnegie.  The counter has a stained ash top, and has a decoration on the face which uses old ash skirting boards.  The vertical pieces on the right end are used to accentuate the rounded end and give and art deco feel.

The chocolate display case has clean lines achieved by using only 3 pieces of glass which run through built-up timber supports.  The supports are fixed together using silicon brass screws which are visible on the face and add a maritime feel to the piece.  Behind the counter are draws and shelves, as well a power points for the scales and register.

The image above gives an overall impression of the shopfront from the main counter.  The seating, tables and shelving were all designed and installed by The Project Workshop.

The bench seating is made from old mantle pieces, and the wooden supports have an angled face similar to the chocolate display case. The blue seating fabric compliments the dark timber well and provides a light releif in feel to the rest of the shopfront.

At left is a closer view of the seating showing the support feet and fabric.
On the righht is a photo of the wall shelving behind the counter.  Both shelving items were designed to match the retro feel of the shopfront. All the sheving is solid stained ash, providing clean shelving that is both beautiful to look and sturdy.

On the left is a picture of shelving in the front window.  Open ash shelving runs along the window, while enclosed ply shelving runs along the wall.  The cupboards below the ply shelving house the gas meter and water fittings.
